Hey hey!
So my son took his first ANet test back in the fall and I literally didn't even know it was happening until after it was over. Like, nobody told me? Or maybe they did and I missed the email. Either way, I felt terrible.
But ANet 2 is coming up in January, and this time I’m not going to be completely caught off guard. So I sat down and made a practice test.
What are ANet exams anyway?
If you’re new to Baltimore City Schools (or just as clueless as I was), ANet tests happen three times a year. They’re basically interim assessments that test reading and math to see where kids are and what they might need help with.
They’re timed. They’re kind of long. And if your kid isn’t used to sitting through that kind of test, it can be rough.
Here’s what I made:
An actual interactive practice test specifically for 2nd graders. It’s not just tips or worksheets, it’s a timed test that simulates what the real thing feels like.
Why? Because my son needs practice with the sitting-there-and-focusing part, not just the actual content. And I figured if I need this, probably other Baltimore parents do too.
It’s free. Use it, don’t use it, whatever helps your kid feel more prepared.

That’s it for this month.
